Innera Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ShiftUnlock (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Innera mobile application (the “App”, bundle ID com.shiftunlock.innera). Innera is a wellness app for voice-recorded manifestations and affirmations, vision boards, timer-based meditation, breathing exercises, and ambient sound.

We have designed Innera to keep your personal content on your device. Your voice recordings and vision board images never leave your phone. We do not run any analytics or tracking telemetry inside the App.

The short version: We collect only what is needed to give you an account, manage your subscription, and (for free users) show ads. Your recordings, images, and journal-style content stay on your device. We do not sell your personal data, and we use no analytics SDKs.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account information (Firebase Authentication)

When you create an account, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to create and secure it. You can sign in with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. Through this process we collect and store:

  • Your email address
  • An optional display name (if provided)
  • Whether your email is verified
  • A Firebase user identifier (UID)

We use this information solely to create and secure your account and to link your subscription entitlement to your identity so it can be restored across your devices. With Apple Sign-In you may choose to hide your email, in which case Apple provides us with a private relay address.

1.2 Subscription information (RevenueCat & the app stores)

Innera offers an optional paid plan, “Innera Pro”. In-app purchases are processed through RevenueCat, which stores your purchase history, subscription status, and an app user ID that is linked to your Firebase UID. The actual payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or receive your card number or full payment details.

1.3 Advertising information (Google AdMob)

If you use the free tier, we show ads through Google AdMob. Ads are removed entirely for Innera Pro subscribers. To serve ads, AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS or the Advertising ID on Android) and related ad-serving data.

  • In the EU/EEA and UK, you are shown a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before personalized ads are served.
  • On iOS, you are shown the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; if you do not allow tracking, ads are non-personalized.
  • You can choose non-personalized ads at any time through these prompts and your device settings.

We do not sell your personal data.

1.4 Content you create — stored only on your device

The content you create in Innera is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or any cloud. This includes:

  • Voice recordings — saved as .m4a audio files in the App’s private document directory.
  • Vision board images — copied into the App’s private storage as local .jpg files.
  • A local database — an on-device SQLite database holding recording metadata and vision board information.

This content is private to your device. It is removed when you uninstall the App or delete your account.

1.5 Notifications

Innera can schedule local reminder notifications on your device (for example, to record or practice). These are scheduled on-device only — there is no push notification server and we do not send notifications from our systems. Scheduling reminders requires you to grant notification permission.

1.6 Device permissions

Innera requests only the permissions it needs:

  • Microphone — to record your voice. Recordings are saved only on your device.
  • Photo Library — to let you add images to a vision board. Selected images are copied into the App’s private storage.

Innera does not capture from the camera and does not access your contacts, location, or health data.

1.7 Local preferences

We store small preference values on your device using secure storage and local app storage, including your ad-free trial timer, selected language (locale), theme, and an onboarding-completed flag. These stay on your device.

1.8 Analytics

Innera contains no analytics or telemetry. We do not integrate Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any crash-reporting or usage-tracking SDK.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create, secure, and authenticate your account.
  • To manage your “Innera Pro” subscription and restore purchases across your devices.
  • To display ads to free-tier users (and to honor your ad consent choices).
  • To schedule the local reminder notifications you set up.
  • To store your preferences and the content you create on your device.

3. How Information Is Stored and Shared

  • On-device content (recordings, images, local database, preferences) stays in the App’s private storage on your device and is not transmitted to us.
  • Account data is handled by Firebase Authentication on Google’s infrastructure.
  • Subscription data is handled by RevenueCat and the app stores.
  • Advertising data is handled by Google AdMob, subject to your consent and device choices.

We share information only with the service providers listed in Section 4, and only as needed to provide these functions. We do not sell personal data.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Firebase Authentication (Google) — account sign-in. Privacy
  • RevenueCat — subscription management. Privacy
  • Google AdMob — advertising for free-tier users. Privacy
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchase processing.

5. Data Retention

  • Your account email and Firebase UID are retained until you delete your account.
  • RevenueCat purchase records are retained according to the app store and RevenueCat policies.
  • On-device content is retained only on your device until you delete it, delete your account, or uninstall the App.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. Because we do not sell personal data and run no analytics, the personal data we hold is limited to your account and subscription records.

  • Delete your account: Open the App’s Settings and use Delete Account. This deletes your Firebase account, logs you out of RevenueCat, and wipes all local recordings, vision boards, and data from your device.
  • Delete local content only: Delete individual recordings or vision boards within the App.
  • Uninstall: Removing the App deletes all local data from your device.
  • Advertising: Choose non-personalized ads via the consent and ATT prompts, or reset/limit your advertising identifier in your device settings.
  • Requests: Contact us at business@shiftunlock.com to exercise your rights. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

7. International Users

Our service providers (Firebase, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, and the app stores) may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. These providers maintain their own safeguards for international transfers, as described in their privacy policies.

8. Children’s Privacy

Innera is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and post the updated policy at this page. Material changes may also be surfaced within the App.
