We respect your right to control your data. Here’s how to delete your account and what happens when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1 — In the app (recommended)
Open Lumivo → Settings → Account → Delete Account
This immediately deletes your account and all synced cloud data.

Email business@shiftunlock.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”
Include the email address associated with your Lumivo account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

| ✅ | All synced cloud data — journal entries, habits, ideas, and related records |
| ✅ | Media files stored in cloud sync (photos, voice notes) |
| ✅ | Subscription entitlements and purchase metadata |
Note: Local data on your device is not automatically removed when you delete your cloud account. To erase local data, use the in-app clear/delete controls or uninstall the app.
How We Protect Your Data
Lumivo is built with a local-first, privacy-by-design architecture. Your data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose otherwise.

| 🔐 | Field-level encryption — Sensitive fields (journal content, personal notes) are individually encrypted using AES-GCM before being stored or synced |
| 📱 | Local-first by default — Your data lives on your device. Cloud sync is completely optional and only activates when you sign in and enable it |
| 🛡️ | Biometric & passcode lock — Protect your app with fingerprint, face recognition, or a custom passcode |
| ☁️ | Encrypted cloud sync — When cloud sync is enabled, sensitive data is encrypted before leaving your device. Data in transit is protected using TLS/HTTPS |
| 🚫 | No data selling — We never sell your personal information to third parties |
Data Retention
While all personal content (journal entries, habits, ideas, media) is permanently deleted, some metadata may be retained after account deletion if required by:
- Legal or regulatory obligations
- Fraud prevention and security protections
- Outstanding disputes or claims
Any retained data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
